Church Formulas & The Spirit of Presumption

 

In Psalms, David speaks of presumption as a "great transgression". In some interpretations presumption is referred to as-or- interpreted as- "willful or stubborn" sin. Psalm 19: 12,13.

Yet...hear me...It isn't our will that's an issue... it's the stubbornness of will, a lack of cooperation. Holy Spirit desires to partner with us. To flow together... will within will. Submission one to another.

We are to... 'come into' relationship with Christ and learn to move in acquiescence with Holy Spirit. 

When Holy Spirit is described by Jesus as Living (flowing) Waters in John 4 & 7....we are given an example of how Holy Spirit moves. This is Christ's intended purpose for our lives... Flowing willingly and cooperatively together.

Waters have many different forms in order to "minister" His life upon the earth. Clouds release 7 different manifestations: rain, wind, lightning, hail, mist or fog, snow and dew. 

All clearly signified and defined throughout scripture as manifestations of God's Word...

and Throne Room Commands...

administered by Holy Spirit. 

The 'big-picture' being a life sustaining perpetual flow of life giving waters...Cloud to rain...streams to rivers....deep waters to wellsprings and geysers. Our prayers, declarations & praise returning as the 'mist' or "vapours' to His clouds to begin the cycle of life again and again.  

Scripturally...God's glory manifests as a cloud ☁️ (with all its 7 forms -Psalm 29) and... 

as a River flowing from His Throne (representing Him) 

and as a River from His Sanctuary (representing us) 

both levels pictured in Revelation 22 and Ezekiel 47. 

A glorious Throne River flowing from both the heavenlies and a Sanctuary River on the earth.

 Kingdom come to earth as it is in heaven.

So here's where presumption on our part interrupts and interferes with the flow....

Human formulas, even using scriptural works and applications, do not rival or compare with His crystal clear waters of glory. His never ending rivers of life. His love flows in the river and faith works by love. 

A love relationship creates the flow. Our loving acquiescence increases the flow! Presumption or human stubbornness (carnal willfulness) drains and eventually stops the flow.

When we walk in flexible and responsive relationship with Christ and Holy Spirit...

we willingly move with His 'chosen' manifestation of Living Water for each need and situation. 

Cloud, rain, wind, lightning, dew, vapor etc. 

We flow with the sound of His voice...with the Sound of Many Waters. We hear His heart and simply respond in like kind.

When we learn formulas to make scripture fit our demands and desires....we are practicing alchemy and this is what the fallen angels taught mankind. Ways of stealing unauthorized power to manipulate His Word and principles.....

for our own purposes and gain...

without flowing in yielded love-based relationship within the River Banks of God's Sovereign flow. 

There are parameters set by the Lord for all Creation. We read and study His Word to learn His ways and His parameters of Holy purity & goodness. The trees which heal the nations put their roots along His River Banks. 

Alchemy, formulas or stolen power can only... 

TAKE LIFE...

They cannot GIVE LIFE. 

They CANNOT GIVE LIFE!

Can I tell you that a majority of the western church has succumbed to this erroneous way of 'practicing' formula Christianity. It is the way of Saul verses the way of David. It is the fallen one's way of rebellion and trafficking (using people) to gain influence, authority and power. 

David drew near to God in Song, submission and loving worship. David's overwhelming desire and motive was to know the Lord and move in His flow. 

Saul was attempting to "work" the system for his own advantage, his own carnal works and outcomes. Saul went his own way which led him to counsel at the medium of Endor's house. It cost him everything even his own sons, his own beloved heir's. 1 Samuel 28. 

The "Saul Method' falls woefully short of the wondrous blessings we have in Christ...through a love relationship. Through moving with a river that flows eternally from the heart of God our Creator.

Samuel the prophet had already warned Saul...

Stubbornness is as the sin of witchcraft. 

This is the plight of the churches...stuck in methods, formulas & potions. Yes I said potions....

We mix into our formula pots all our favorite doctrines and ideologies and expect people to feed on them. They never satisfy the longing for His presence, for knowing Him face to face in intimacy. Intelectual 'enlightenment' never ever compares to heart to heart communion and fellowship.

Yet we loudly complain of 'heresies' that detract from our own opionated 'doctrines'. Like the pharisees these 'doctrines' actually avoid relational intimacy with Jesus. Lord help us.

Herein is hope...The Lord is patient and will teach us and help us move into His life giving flow...

Even the disciples of Christ subscribed to a type of formula ministry. In Luke 9 they wanted to call down fire from heaven upon those who rejected their friend and Rabbi, Jesus. 

They assumed...'well...Elijah did this...why shouldn't we be able to do this too'? They were operating in a dangerous presumption.

Jesus warned them, "You do not know what manner of spirit you are of". 

Elijah challenged the prophets of Baal who were sacrificing innocent blood to demons. 1 Kings 18.

Jesus was bringing life and grace in the dawn of a new era. God was offering His good will and a return to Eden.

The disciples idea was not of Holy Spirit...it was a presumption...a formula...alchemy....witchcraft. "Why not copy what worked for Elijah"? Yet, in their case it was taking life rather than giving life.

Jesus came that we might have life and that life... more abundantly.

Revival, renaissance, restoration of Eden all come in loving relationship with our Creator. Freely flowing Kairos waters from the eternal River into our Chronos time realm. 

Give and it shall be given unto you...

Living Waters can only give, give, give.

A Control spirit is a huge issue in humanity and unfortunately in the church. We are desperate to keep in control (often from trauma) and terrified to give up our control. 

The Lord gave us a wonderful gift of autonomy and free will. We must understand and celebrate this wondrous gift.

However, a pure baptism of death, burial and resurrection is required (in His River) for us to walk into bonded relationship with His lovingkindness and His formidable Will. 

The only thing that dies in His River is our separation from Him, our spiritual stubbornness and blindness. Everything touched by His River lives. Ez. 47 & Rev. 22.

As we celebrate our autonomy....we must acknowledge this...

Father God has a WILL too... A Most Powerful and Sovereign Will. An Omnipotent Will. 

One that will not be ignored, refused or rearranged. Yet He has given us a free will? How does He do this? How does He Reign in grace over our chaos? It's a divine mystery. A mystery wrought in secret through Christ.

And He does according to His will in the host of heaven and among the inhabitants of earth, and none can stay His hand or say to Him, what are you doing? Daniel 4:35 ( King Nebuchadnezzar) 

But our God is in heaven, He does whatever He pleases. Psalm 115: 3, 

For I know that the Lord is above all gods. 

Whatever the Lord pleases, that has He done in the heavens and the earth, in the seas and all their deeps-- 

Who causes the vapors to arise from the ends of the earth, who makes lightnings for the rain, Who brings the winds out of His storehouses, 

Psalms 135:5-7

Like Father....like Son... 

Heavenly Father has a indomitable perfect, loving & just FREE WILL. He is not trying to take away this amazing gift, our autonomy, our free will...

He simply desires to form His love, truth & life within us. He wants us to participate & partake of His character...moving in harmony.

We are not required to 'give up' our will...only to acquiescence our gift of free will into His flow of wondrous love, light, truth and glory. 

To flow our wills in love with His Will...much like a marriage. 

Much like small streams flowing into His all powerful Divinely sourced River of Eternity.  

He desires to create along with us...

to walk along with us in the garden...planting seeds of kindness & love.

There is a river whose streams make glad the city of our God. Psalm 46:4

Have you entered these waters of life...so deep that neither angel, demon nor humanity can divert, dam up, nor control this crystal flow...? Have you been baptised in His Throne River?

One can only rejoice in amazed surrender to this overwhelming joy....

aquiescence.... 

divine submission....

divine cooperation...

supernatural willingness.....to be lifted up, up, up.

...only to be rapturously overcome and sweetly overwelmed by unending joy, love and glory? 

To be carried above gravity and death...on wave after wave of overwhelming Light frequencied glory.

There is no natural law that can resist the power of His love, His Spirit. His River. His Cloud. None. 

Yet you, child of God, can refuse. You have a choice.

You must humble yourself in baptism. Turning from your way to His way. It's called repentance.

Yet what bliss in aquiescence! What glorious and satisfying surrender! The cycle of His River, presents itself before us over and over...

 giving us opportunity again and again to JOIN HIM.

Oh in the roar of your waterfalls...all your waves and breakers have passed over me....Psalm 42.

We cannot be in independent control if He is in sovereign control. We CAN merge our will with His Will within the waters of loving relationship. 

It is in the Song of the Lord that we discern the flow of His waters of life. In the Sound of Many Waters. Can you hear His voice? His yearning to share His good will? His divine nature?

This is how we can powerfully flow together for the good of all Creation...

and all His Creatures...

 and All His Cosmos. 

All while moving in lovingkindness....in restored...everlasting... intimate relationship. Will within will. Song within song. Harmonious creative, giving flow.

Behold I make all things new.

Formulas are alchemy. Short sighted. Destructive.

Relationship is in The River. Never ending. 

Life giving.

Acts 17: 24-28

For in Him we live and move and have our being.

Creating cooperative mural with a "sands of time" Hourglass in center. Living Water flowing inside. Surrounded by prolific gardens with butterfly, dragonfly & lady bugs.

Set up & learn video recording technology.

Pick out uplifting children's stories, early childhood level. We will start there & see where it goes.

Fourth phase:

Record & broadcast. Monitor response & build story lovers community.

5th phase: video field trips to local libraries.

Phillip & The Rapture

I believe the story of Philip (Acts 8: 26- 40) demonstrates the meaning of Harpazo or the word we all interpret as rapture (of the saints), the catching away. 😉 I believe the rapture event spoken of in 1 Thessaloninas 4:13 & 1 Corinthians 15:50 is a conclusive event following 7 mentions of similar "rapturous events" throughout scripture.

 I believe in each event...the plan is for Jesus to return with His renewed overcomers. Those who will rule & reign with Him forever...here on the New heaven and 🌎 New earth. 

Philip heard the voice of an angel who instructed him to go and minister to a eunuch traveling home to Ethiopia, in a chariot..

Philip responded immediately, in absolute sync with God's purpose. Phillip was tuned into the Holy Spirt and found the man traveling along, reading from the book of Isaiah 53:7,8. 

Philip joined the man in the chariot & told him the good news of The Kingdom. Then seeing water, the man asked to be baptized. 

When they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord suddenly took Philip away....

Later....

Philip appeared at Azotus...

There he continued to preach the good news as he traveled toward Caesarea. 

Azotus means STRONGHOLD. 

This catching up, I believe is for the purpose of strengthening & emboldening us to overcome in places of the  enemies "strongholds"....here on the earth 🌎 which is the Lord's treasure & beloved Creation.

 He declared 📜...

Behold I make all things new.

And the commission to disciple all nations & to tend the garden has never been rescinded. In Revelation the gates of New Jerusalem are open 24/7 so the nations can bring their glory into her, as worship to our King. 

I've been shown a governmental pattern in the cloud, river, rain, wellspring scriptures over an intense 3 decade study from Genesis to Revelation.

Water is eternal in nature cycling over & over to give of itself and bring the good news of redeeming life. Always making new. 

 Philip was still standing on the banks of the water when he was caught up. Harpazo has its Greek roots in a word that means "to take up anchor" or in my own words... "to go with the flow". 

Water, specifically -Living Water, is, of course,  symbolic of Holy Spirit. The Promise Jesus gave His followers is a person not a mineral or asset but the third person of the godhead. The use of Living Water is to illustrate a function of Holy Spirit's amazing character and persona.

So where was Philip caught up to?.... Where was he in the time span between (the eunuchs baptism) on the south road toward Gaza and then suddenly...re appearing in Azotus toward Caesarea? 

He was in the presence of The Lord, caught up in Holy Spirit...."in Him...we live and move and have our being". 

In Acts 3:21...it says that Jesus will only return after...

The restoration of All things. 

We are commissioned to do this restoration in the power of Holy Spirit. Times of "catching up" into His Spirit realm are for the purpose of bringing ...His rule..... "on earth as it is in heaven."

Well of Oaths

Today, for me, is a day of extravagant thanksgiving, immense gratitude & exquisite celebration! Thank you Lord for regarding the prayers of intercessors who pray privately, quietly, no show, few words, just groaning in the Spirit... in their prayer closets. 

Malachi 3:16,17 

This private closet prayer was the refiners fire 🔥 that began to sink down into the land. 

Little tiny fires I saw all over the United States of America. Malachi 3:3. When I saw these fires the LORD said emphatically,  " I will not disregard the prayers of my saints." 2012.

Today, intercessors are meeting at Cape Henry on the anniversary of Robert Hunt's Covenant with God for America. 1607.

Back in July of 2000...the LORD led me from Sea to Shining Sea to that same shore, same place, to pray for my land, my country. At the time I had no knowledge specifically of what the location meant, I was simply following Holy Spirit cues & clues as a "secret agent". His words not mine. 

This morning on Dutch's "Give Him 15"....he applied Psalm 22: 27,28 and Psalm 33:12 to this effort. The nations will remember who our God is! (please see his podcast for inspiration & instruction from Holy Spirit) 

26 years ago I was standing on that shore and the heavenly realm was bending so near it took my breath away. We (husband & I) had to remove our shoes. We poured out a jar of Pacific water into the Atlantic. (I describe this prayer journey in another blog- My Story, His Glory) 

Dutch mentioned a dream in which we as intercessors are called now to war in prayer as Rees Howells did in WW 2. The Wellspring of Oath is going to burst forth and supply us with armory & strength to turn the battle to the gates. (Cost of war-2 Timothy 1:8) Turning the battle...Isaiah 26:8.

26 in scripture represents The Gospel of Christ. In 2 Corinthians 11: 23-27 Paul lists 26 afflictions which he endured for the Gospel. Basically...war scars that relate to Christ's "sufferings". 

In John 3:16 there are exactly 26 words in Greek. 

Gospel of Christ. Wellspring of Oath.

In Genesis 8:11 Noah is mentioned for the 26th time....

A dove returned to Noah with an olive 🫒 leaf in her mouth...it says...

So Noah knew the waters were abated from the earth. 

Gospel of Christ. Wellsprings of Oath. 

This Well of Oath has released this 📜 wondrous and redemptive 250 rededication & declaration of scripture over our air waves and over our entire land. Hallelujah! 

Our prayers & intercession must be in The Stream that flows from this Well of Oath. We will have all of the divine provision and wisdom from this well if we "wait at the well" for our solemn & divine assignment. ✨️ 

Your rank & assignment must come directly from the Captain of the Host. Please make sure you have His Seal alone upon your marching orders. Let us profoundly focus on His Manifesto alone. There is a polluted river from the dragons mouth but we are extravagantly equipped & fully supplied from THE WELL OF OATHS. 

Shhhhh!

 

Quiet. Listen. Be still. Selah. 

The majority of our prayers should be centered and focused on becoming attentive and hearing the LORD'S majestic voice. 

The desert father's practiced a form of quiet contemplative prayer to move beyond the wordy noise of secular philosophy which was being constantly broadcast in city forums....

and beyond the religious pharisee's liturgical storm of  condemnations....

and even beyond the soulish demands of the pious, wordy, noisy, religious activity....we sometimes call .. "prayer".

Your ears literally need the healing touch of Jesus' healing sound...the "Sound of Many Waters". No one is beyond the need for cleansing of the heart, mind & ears. Has His voice touched your ears?

How much time have you spent quietly listening or waiting in worship for the Holy Spirit's novel healing exchange? Mercies which are new every morning.

You can commit to answer privately within your heart as you read this blog. It's so important to consider and then set aside priority time for this....

Before you go to...or sign onto...yet another prayer session. Have you spent time just listening?

Shhhhh!

It is absolutely imperative. It's  something you need to intentionally pursue with all your heart. 

Scripture says,

Draw near to the Lord and He will draw near to you.

Quiet, calm, silence, noiseless, soundless, hushed, restful, placid, serene, unobtrusive, tranquil, quiet. 

Jacob was called a quiet man in Genesis 25:27.

Joshua lingered in the hush after Moses met with God. He soaked in the afterglow. 

Pursue quiet listening time with Jesus for He is The Word and He is The Song of Songs. Not just reading The Word but fellowshipping with Jesus Himself, from whom every pure and creative Word flows.

Have you heard His sweet and heart melting voice? As Mary heard when sitting at Jesus' feet? Have you heard His thundering ⛈️ powerful declarations of glory as mentioned in Psalm 29? 

Have you heard the Father's voice in the covering cloud...."This is my beloved Son...Hear Him!" 

Your beauty, your radiance, your glow in Him is...

"the unfading beauty of a gentle & quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight." 1 Peter 3:4

Scripture also instructs us..."Be quick to listen & slow to speak." James 1:19

Within the cloud of God's presence....all noise is muted...have you spent time there? If you have been overshadowed within the cloud...every spoken word becomes precious, holy....

& lovingly & thoughtfully chosen. 

The one who has knowledge uses words with restraint. Proverbs 17:27

95% listen and maybe 5% speak....shhhhh!

When you pray quietly in tongues (or even in your mind) you are praying along with the sound of Living Waters, you are praying with the Sound of Many Waters, you are Praying with the very substance & quality of His Voice. 

This is why Psalms 23 says....

He leads me beside STILL WATERS....

HE RESTORES MY SOUL. 

We all need respite, we all need to be cleansed & restored because of the constant muddied waters of humanity and the accusing sound of fallen angels. There is so much accusation in the media stream & that is the devil's river that flows from the dragons mouth. Revelation 12:15.

We ALL surely need to be restored and renewed  due to the constant stream of opinions of man & even some "Christian" media as well. If it's not speaking pure life, then...

 it's mixture and impure at its source. James 3:11.

Jesus retreated often into a quiet place...

If our wonderful Saviour and Friend desired this quiet with His Heavenly Father... then truly....

we should seek it and treasure it as much as He did. 

Quiet, Listen, Be Still, Selah.

John The Baptist & Kingdom Force

In Matthew 11 we have Jesus' description of John the Baptist and His role in the kingdom...

As well as Jesus' controversial comment, 

From the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom has been subjected to violence and the violent take it by force.

(Violence 971, violent 973, force 726 harpazo strongs concordance Greek)

This word force has been taken out of context and interpreted by charismatic teachers to mean:

 forceful preaching,

aggressive confessions of faith,

or making forceful demands upon the kingdom's blessings. 

I say "out of context" because Jesus ends His discussion of John by describing His own way and His own yoke as being "gentle & humble" in heart. 

In Jesus' description of John.... let's ask what represents the Kingdom of heaven? 

It's The River Jordan. Jordan means "descender". Jesus contains and brings  heaven to earth by descending to us...in human form....

And giving ALL of Himself as a River pours out its substance to bring life, life, life. Only life.

The "force" or "harpazo" here is the force of the Living Waters which is washing away our old nature (or sin) by baptism. We enter the water as testimony that we are willing to experience Jesus life thru death burial and resurrection. We are "choosing" by our free will to experience a new birth in Christ. We are submitting our will (or combining our will) to His will in this powerful Kingdom outpouring of a flowing River.

So we have the force of the waters and the force of our free will combining in baptism. 

And we have the force of John's (prophet Elijah"s) guiding hands to hold the individual in submersion or burial under the waters and to bring them back up into new life. Both...Descension & Acension. Ephesians 4:8-12.

This is John's...Elijah role. Simply announcing The Kingdom & The Lamb of God. Simply calling people to The River and to repentance (turning over a new leaf) through baptism.

This is why Jesus identified John as a prophet like Elijah. A prophet who dunks willing sinners under God's flow of Word & Spirit....in The River... in The Kingdom.

The waters represent The River which flows from His Throne & Sanctuary as in Rev. 22 & Ez. 42. This is an expression of God's kingdom. His thoughts, His rule, His character, His intentions, His good will in bringing us to salvation. His good will in pouring out His life for us. His plan to wash & then fill us to overflowing. His plan to give us a new life.

Harpazo (force) is the word they interpret as rapture or catching up. 1 Thessalonians 4:17. 

After that, we who are still alive and are left will be 'caught up' together with them in the clouds to meet the LORD in the air. And so we will be with Him forever. Therefore encourage one another with these words. 

If you trace this Greek word back to its root...you begin to understand that "force" is not solely human charisma or will but the "catching up" of His life force. It is a capitulation to His will and His ways... life flowing over us and though us to others in waves and waves of His very essence and glory. 

As it says in Psalms 42....

Deep calls to deep...In the roar of your waterfall....All your waves and billows have swept over me. 

His voice and His love sweeps over us in the water's flow. In the River we are continually renewing and being made new. It is a continual flow...one we must choose to stay engaged in....returning again and again to drink of Him, to wash in Him, to come alive in Him.

The force is in His River. You cannot contain or direct it but Holy Spirit comes alongside us to hold us as our baptizer.

This is why Jesus completes His comments about John the Baptist by saying....

Come to me all you who are weary, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you & learn of me, for I am gentle and humble in heart." 

This negates the idea that you can "take" the kingdom by human aggression or force. Yes you make a "choice of will" to submit to the river (the kingdom) but the force is the flow of His mighty River of goodness, truth and His glorious presence in our lives. Never ending grace and refreshing mercies which are new every morning. 

You make a committment to yield under His River's eternal flow. This is the "force", the "harpazo",  the "rapture"... which carries us through life and on into His eternal realms of glory. 

The force of the Living Waters can absolutely overwhelm you, it can absolutely take you out-  if you are not resting in Jesus yoke. It's our "floating device". He is our "life preserver". He is our "inner tube". He is our rest. 

Your human force of will cannot control His River. It is a river "no man can cross". Harpazo or rapture means "to take up anchor" so take on His yoke of rest and go with His flow. Remember you have been buried and resurrected in Him. 

You can be lifted up upon these life giving waters in absolute rest and pure freedom. Gravity loses its grip on you. 

Think of the cycle of water in cloud, rain, rivers & wellsprings, vapors & mists. The purpose is to give. The purpose is to flow and cause all to grow. Descension & ascension. Ephesians 4:7-12.

Mist & vapors. Praise & prayers.

Cloud & rain. His Glory Presence & blessing.

Rivers & Wellsprings. Kingdom & Ministers.

The River Jordan is part of a governmental waterway. Flow. Grow. Glow.

Give, give, give. Grow, grow, grow.

"Wherever the river goes there is life " ✨️

I encourage you to read the entire chapter of Matthew 11 and pray and meditate on Jesus' response to John the Baptist who sent a message to Jesus while imprisoned by Herod. 

Don't take the message of "force" for granted. It has been greatly misunderstood and misinterpreted.

Always the Father of lies seeks to perpetrate his narrative into our atmosphere. Recently there has been a universal movement to literally fill the atmosphere with non stop repetitive comprehensive lies throughout all media. People have been steeped in lies. It was a plan....decades in building & animating. 

What motivates this narrative?....its simply easier to control the masses...and to greedily milk humanity for the controllers gain. 

So what Jesus said in John 8 is such a current imperative for this & future generations. 

We must develop keen discernment & a love & passion for truth.

If you have lies mixed in with your world view,

Then you are not living in the Light...

Indeed you are a servant to the dark...

You are enslaved by lies. You don't really choose this... but the lies choose for you.

You are not a free agent of your own destiny. Lies keep you sidelined...and moving in circles...

going nowhere. Yet....having the appearance of gain through self gratification. 

In John 8- Jesus says, 

Hold onto, cling onto my Words...

If you hold onto my teaching...

Then You will know the truth...

AND THE TRUTH WILL SET YOU FREE. 

When Jesus speaks to you....perfect love and life flow out upon His breath, truth flows out of His mouth.

 He cherishes you and desires to speak life into your very heart. He wants the very best for you...

No matter where you stand at this moment.

You CAN walk out of darkness...into perfect liberty. 

Freedom. Freedom to be the best You.

You can just whisper His Name in invitation. 

He hears even the tiniest spark of longing buried deep within you, maybe long since buried under doubt, skepticism,  hurt or rejection. 

He hears you. 

He's waiting with great antipation...

because your freedom & promotion into peace is the very motivation for all He does.

I too am seeking to be free from lies which held me back from my full potential.

This is my prayer...

May the Light of your face shine upon me O LORD.

May the perfect love in your voice awaken my heart. 

May the sweet LIGHT of your face and the lovely musical sound of your voice penetrate every fiber of my being...

Spirit, Soul and Body.

Mind, Will and Emotions.

Past, Present and Future 

and carry me on your Light, your perfect Light ...

Througout my life and on and on into the Eternal Realm. 

Amen. 

He will answer your prayer with His lovingkindness and goodness.

He will come and commune with you with His joy filled and delightful presence.

This sweet fellowship creates a love for truth.

You will become more and more free. You will become refreshed and new.

Your feet will be planted on the beautiful but challenging path of LIFE.
