Servant Revelator

"The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show His servants-- things which must shortly take place." Revelation 1:1

This is the opening statement of the book of Revelation. Three things stand out from the onset.

1. Jesus is saying He is dependant upon the Father to release mysteries or Revelation.

JESUS who is, Himself, All Revelation- is wholly integrated and One with the Father. He is yielded and subject to His Father's directives.

2. He shows His revelation to those who are servants. SERVANTS.

3. Shortly take place. Most prophecies in the Bible have layers & a NOW & LATER application.

Which characters within the Bible are depicted as having the heart of servants? These are the ones who are trained, groomed, capable by service; to interpret and teach us about the book of Revelation.

They are people who live out the two basic laws of the Spirit. "Love the Lord God with all your heart, soul and mind...and love your neighbor as yourself."

If you observe these attributes in a person, then these are dependable teachers to help you understand the book of Revelation.

If the teacher is merely intellectual or historical in their interpretation...please disregard their personal, subjective viewpoint of THE BOOK OF REVELATION.

It is required for Revelators to have the heart of a servant. Are they servants to man or to God? Well God first but also to man, out of compassion. They will not teach out of a fear-based mode.

They are most especially not self serving. End time teaching sells book & fills church seats. It is also a ticket seller for movies & documentaries. Beware of this.

The book of Revelation is not about the end times (though there are some end of the age or end-time milestones mentioned). The book of Revelation was given & recorded to reveal JESUS!

Jesus was wholly humble and willing to lay down His life for us. However He wasn't a victim or a doormat in any way. He walked in perfect submission and absolute authority. The Lion & The Lamb paradox comes into focus in Revelation

Moses and Abraham were willing to serve others. Look for the example of servant hood when you hear someone teaching on the book of Revelation.

Jesus washing the feet of His own disciples is a fitting example to us.

I am sharing this with you to inform you of the need for discernment when following a Bible teacher.

Especially one interpreting "prophecies". Most teachers expounding on "prophecy" do not have a prophetic call; they do not have prophetic function, prophetic anointing, experience or understanding.

Beware of intellectual teaching. The Bible is a spiritual book and you need a teacher full of Holy Spirit.

No End

"Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His Government and peace there will be no end." Isaiah 9:6,7

When do you suppose the government of King Jesus began? The wise men, the Magi were convinced a king was being born unto Israel.

That is why they assumed King Herod would lead them to this newborn. In the church, in our country we have too many in high positions which are only after personal gain.

The problem is, many come into power and though they may begin with good intentions; they do not want to give up their place when their rightful replacement comes along.

Like the story of Boromir in The Lord of the Rings. He was challenged, within, as to whether he would give himself to the humble carrier of the ring...

or if he would be better suited to wield the ring himself.

I believe the government of Jesus; son of man, son of God, began to form in the earth...

as soon as He raised from the grave and was seated at the right hand of the father.

His Heavenly Father made the promise, "Be seated until I make your enemies your footstool."

So shouldn't we, servants of the Most High God, know our place in this advent?

The kingdom advances humbly and sometimes subtly. Sometimes it heaves forward with great birthing pangs.

We must be able to view it with a double vision- seeing heaven and earth blending together.

That is spiritual discernment, the ability to live in dual realms. It is coming but not yet here.

We do not observe with our natural eyes. We certainly don't observe through our natural media which has become so double minded as Boromir.

We cannot see it if we view through the eyes of politicians who have forgotten their vow of service as did Boromir's father. Boromir's father forgot he was just the steward of the kingdom.

The return of the king is long delayed but it is surely coming. And there will be no end to the peace.

Step away from the narrative and ask the Lord to give you His perspective.

The kingdom of heaven is even now advancing on the earth. The opening scripture from Isaiah 9 continues..

"Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom  to order it and establish it with judgment and justice from that time forward. Even forever. THE ZEAL OF THE LORD WILL PERFORM THIS."

Who are you listening to? Who are you giving credence to? Do you discern the zeal of the Lord functioning in the church you are attending?

The birthing of our nation was not easy nor the winning of the Civil War. Maybe the present status quote is not the zeal of the Lord in function or purpose.

I would suggest American/Western believers have become "at ease in Zion" or should I say "lukewarm".

Look around, awaken, where is His everlasting kingdom birthing forth in our midst? Pray for your own heart to awaken.

For His Kingdom is even NOW upon the earth...it is now and it is coming, coming, coming!
