Delight Versus Control

"Trust in the Lord, and do good; dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness. 

Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass.

He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noon day." 

Psalms 37:3-6

Every major event recorded in the Bible comes down to control vs. Delight in the Lord. 

In the Garden of Eden Adam and Eve were given the opportunity to co-rule with Father God. Eden means PLEASURE- you could use the word delight. 

We need to learn something about the lovingkindness of The Sovereign Lord God Almighty...

He is the originator, He is all powerful and the sum of all that is. He is simply in control of everything that exists. Yet, in love, He desires to share His control.

Lucifer or any fallen angel is not in control nor is man. Yet the Sovereign Almighty God gave us free will and allowed His garden of delight to be compromised in order to find those who would partner with Him in delight.

The Lord respects the gift of free will. Control, manipulation, trickery, witchcraft, coercion or force; these are not in the way of the Lord. This is not how He operates. MANIPULATION is Lucifers way.

 So when I say God has all the control...I mean He is totally & fully in charge & all power is at His disposal. Yet He is looking for cooperation, partnership & just enforcements of wrongs.

Every single major story in the Bible is based on this choice between Control vs. Delight.

In Eden, Adam & Eve were given rulership over the garden,  in a stewardship/apprenticeship role. Ultimately, this would have led to a rulership of earth itself. 

They had a choice, stay in delight & fellowship with the Creator and enjoy delegated stewardship or gain control for themselves. 

They could daily delight in the Lord's presence, as they grew up into their role as noblemen and women of the Kingdom.

Of course human control functioning by itself does not work out, it was a ploy for Lucifer to control. In the end, they entered into millenia of man control vs. Lucifer control. But God....

Who would win the war of control? Neither one, neither man or Lucifer! For, you see control in itself was a deception, control was a delusion, a pipe dream. Control never could leave the hands of The Sovereign Almighty.

Yet, He desires loving fellowship and is willing to share in a partnership of His entire life giving system. For He is love itself and life itself and truth, itself. He is God.

So, in the garden, they sought control but lost it all. 

In the story of Noah's Ark. There was a yielding of control...there were no rudders nor steering apparatus. Noah delighted in the Lord.

In the story of the crossing of the Red Sea there was no control. Neither the Egyptians nor the Israelite were in control. 

In fact the whole story of the plagues was an allegory of losing control on both sides.

When Joshua meets the mighty angel of God's army, Joshua asks "who's side are you on?" But the angel of the Lord replies, "neither!" 

He then declares to Joshua who He is. Joshua immediately yields control and finds Himself in a delightful partnership with heaven.

In the story of King Hezekiah where they take counsel to place the singers in front of the army....at no time were they in control. The whole story is a lesson in... walking in delight. 

When Jesus wrestled in prayer in the Garden of Gethsemane, what was He wrestling with? It was not the enemy! He had already done that in the wilderness.

Clearly, He had power over life itself, He had raised the dead, delivered men from legions of demons, and healed every disease. 

In the garden, He was giving up every last ounce of his right to human control,  He was giving it back to His Sovereign God, His loving Father of Delight. It was His last task to gain back delight for Adam & Eve. 

Now, we are in an epic war for control in our country and ultimately for the globe. Control is stamped on every news flash, every action of government, every movement of human activity. 

Read the entire chapter of Psalm 37; it is key to our present state of affairs. We are not in control at all but neither are those who seem to be running things. Lol. 

Ha ha ha. Ho ho ho. He He He. He is in charge. Heaven Rules. (Psalm2) 

What a delightful discovery!!!

God is Sovereign. In His lovingkindness He is preparing those who delight in Him to partner in a LIFE GIVING family affair. 

Rest in Him, abide in Him, trust in Him, act in Him. Delight yourself in the Lord.

Governmental Waterworks

We have been trying to grow the garden of the Lord with little cups of water to individuals. 

Yet we have been supplied with wellsprings,  rivers and streams for families, tribes & nations. Truly, just as in the natural, 2/3 of the earth could be and should be covered with Living Water.

We have been content with cups of luke warm, polluted water, when in truth, the purest, freshest waters fall like rain on the mountain tops and join in unison to form the rivers. The mountains represent governing powers.

Cascading Living Waters are renewed from recycling up from the groundswell.. 

Mists gathering as clouds, and completing & renewing their heavenly journey;

by falling down through the mountain streams, crashing with joy over the rocks.  

The Lord clearly commissioned us to disciple nations as well as individuals. This can only be accomplished through a marriage of the upper & lower Living Waters. 

Living Waters, which were  introduced by Yeshua in John 4 & 7..

Living Waters which represent the pure flow of God's Holy Word and Holy Spirit,  in unison. It is given freely to flow effortlessly and generously without constraint from above and from below. 

Yet we muddy the waters with our prideful & religious interference.

Wellsprings and groundswells from individuals and congregations must marry the Living Waters which flow from the top of the 7 mountains of influence within our cultures & society's. 

To complete its work of integrity and justice it must flow simultaneously from heaven to earth and back again in the cyclical pattern it was designed for.

Yeshua's red letter words initiated the marriage between mercy and justice...

and the release of the  Governmental Waterworks. 

Living Water was His way of showing us the unified streams of both His love & governance. 

The teaching of the disciples in the epistles should never have been exalted above Christ's red letter Words of life. Yes, they are the inspired words of the Lord and a part of the priceless and immaculate document called the Word of God. 

However, we are to know the Lord Himself, the Lord of the Word. He released the Living Water. And to quote Bill Johnson, " Jesus is the perfect theology".

The epistles were letters to assist the believers in daily living, to help them sort out, clean out of their mindsets, the pagan culture they were raised within. They (epistles) should be studied alongside, in tandem with, the red letter words- at all times. 

Paul himself warned of exalting one teacher above another and this holds true today. Most importantly, never exalt the teaching of human teachers above The Master's teaching. He was called TEACHER and He signified Holy Spirit also as TEACHER.

"Then He said to them, These are the words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms concerning Me. And He opened their understanding that they might comprehend the Scriptures."

 Luke 24:44, 45

They only had The Old Testament when He instructed them but soon The New Testament would be transcribed, and of course, He planned it so.

He had to explain the scripture to the Jewish disciples in person. He opens the scripture to each of us as we walk and talk with Him. 

The Holy Spirit is the meeting place that joins our heart to His. He released Living Water to complete that work in the disciples and now, in each of  us. He is the same, yesterday, today and tomorrow. His instruction remains.

Yeshua commanded the Living Waters to be released through the Holy Spirit. His command and His Words should be informing, not only, the Old Testament but also our understanding of The New Testament.

They are in truth- One Testament. 

THE LIVING WATERS were designed to unify and connect. This is why our Creator was not pleased with His work on the 2nd day when He separated the upper Waters from the lowers Waters. (See Genesis. 1:6_8)

He clearly requires the Living Waters to flow freely as they were originally created and commissioned to do. 

Remember in Genesis there was chaos over the waters and on the 2nd day, it is the one day He neglects to declare, "It is good.". 

This union is fully demonstrated in Revelation 22 and Ezekiel 47. These references to The River of God show a flow from earth to heaven and back again; a freeflow which is a simultaneous union and a marriage of the Governmental Waterworks.

Are we releasing Living- refreshing- Waters of His Spirit into every level of our society and culture? That is a part of our commission. 

From the deep reservoirs, to the wellsprings to the clouds and raining down again upon the hills and mountains. Flow river flow! 

Rules, religion, philosophy and man made plans will never quench the human thirst for life; the very life of Christ. Drink deeply beloved!(Song of Solomon 5:1) 

Beloved, to pour out Living Water we must also partake.

We thirst for His Living Waters. We thirst for Him; for His thoughts, His character, His intentions; they are all manifest within the flow of His great,  crystal clear, healing RIVER OF LIFE.

The Lord is the King of the Universe, The Creator of the Cosmos. He will no longer tolerate the limiting and quenching of His Spirit. Yes, this is a sober warning to those who teach The Word without the power of Holy Spirit. (See 2 Tim 3: 5)

To say we don't need the Holy Spirit flowing freely & daily is like saying we will just drink water once a month or so. It's foolish.

To say we don't need Living Water to nurture the seeds of The Gospel- Word is ludicrous!!! 

It's really not possible to know Jesus without the Living Water's flow.

Runners at the Gate

"On that day I will raise up the Tabernacle of David, which has fallen down, and repair its damages; I will raise up its ruins, and rebuild it as in days of old;" Amos 9:11

The following is a prophetic word/ vision I received on June 14th 1998. I sent it to Lou Engle right after. Then I heard, later, he was planning-

THE CALL. 

Because of the vision I recognized The Call was indeed a plan from the Courts of Heaven.

Over the next few years I began to watch this word & vision unfold...with The Call, the 5 presidents attending prayer after 9.11. with Billy Graham, later David's Tent (which is now entering its 7th year) and just this weekend with Sean Feught with LET US WORSHIP.

These are the phrases I wrote down but it's difficult to explain the picture screen which passed before my eyes with the phrases.

As I retired for the night, the Lord gave me Psalm 129. Then as I drifted off to sleep I continued to see pictures with phrases most of the night. 

I did submit this to a prophetic mentor before sending it ahead to Lou. We were praying with a group of his intercessors in that season.

"There will be no harvest unto the enemy but the Harvest will be unto your God and saviour...for look upon the horizon, there is a cloud the size of a man's hand. 

Surely it will overtake you with the rains...then you will harvest with great song, you shall harvest with your singing. (I saw a picture of music becoming a sickle & threshing instrument) 

The reapers will overtake the sowers."

I then felt led to respond with an out loud declaration. ' I agree with your Word my Lord, surely it will be done as you say.'

Then the Lord responded, " Surely it will be done as you say, my bride." (I knew I was enacting a picture of the brides role to agree with heaven) Then the Lord continued...

"Run now, run now and overtake the chariot for the rain comes that will be like no other." 

"It is a rain that is Heavenly and will separate the wheat from the chaff; it will refresh those planted of the Lord but consume those which are not." 

"Run now... get ready runners, get ready at the starting gate for the groom is all dressed up with no where to go." 

"Rain is coming upon the wilderness, upon the drought.. 

Get set at the gate, at the ready set, wait... "

(I saw runners on marks but the marks were on stairs, they were facing upward)

"For surely the husband you now have is not your own, have you not already had 5 yet your soul is not satisfied. "

"Get ready runners...Herald the land...the starting gate is the place to wait, the place for all who wait upon the Lord." 

"There, you will be filled with strength for the race.. Herald the day, Herald the way of the Lord. 

There is soundness as you wait at the gate...rinse your feet at the gate."

( here I saw a picture of runners crouching at runner marks which were set into the stairs of the Lincoln Memorial, overlapping the picture of a crouching runner was a kneeling Mary washing His feet) 

"Don't be tardy, don't be late, but wait. Run at the floodgates, sing oh runners at the place of the stairs."

(Then I saw all of history pivoting very supernaturally & suddenly; I saw huge cathedral windows and was given to know the stairs & cathedral were both locations of chronos & kairos pivoting and merging in an epic convergence of time) 

Then I again responded out loud, 

'How willing we are to turn at the gate.' (This turn I knew represented repentance & yielding to His command to wait & command to run)

So ends the Word & vision. This 9.11 weekend of 2021 I began to weep as I saw a woman kneeling on the steps to the Lincoln Memorial as the LET US WORSHIP team sang.

What I saw in the vision was a prayer vigil beginning at the Lincoln Memorial which would become a David's Tent. It would release runners to Herald the land. I saw 9.11 and the prayer of 5 presidents which means grace as well as justice being required of our nation from the Lord. I saw history turning a corner. 

Amos 9:11 which is my opening scripture goes on to say:

(13) Behold the days are coming, says the Lord, when the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the trader of grapes him who sows seed; the mountains shall drip with sweet wine, and all the hills shall flow with it. I will bring back the captives of my people Israel."
