In my recent blog dated on Nov. 7th, this same day...I spoke of the importance of good news.
Good News=Victory.
There were at least 3 different people in the crowds on the day of Pentecost.
Seekers, mockers & perpetrators.
The seekers of God received the Good News with joy.
The mockers said, "they are drunk". Their hearts were like those seeds sown on the hard path, they were so hardened by bad news that they could only accuse the disciples of being drunk.
After all, the disciples had lost their teacher, their beloved Rabbi, surely they were drunk from grief. Reasonable right?
The third group which began to join the first 2 were those of the Sanhedrin (the Jewish ruling council who found themselves at odds with the Good News).
These, it says, had their hearts pierced by Peter's Good News. They were the ones who needed stronger medicine, so to speak.
Peter did this, accomplished this Holy Spirit piercing, by repeating the words of the prophets. "This is that spoken of by the Prophets."
Seekers, sincere and true seekers, need to see & hear, in their own langauge, the wonderful works of God. Simple good news.
Perpetrators will need something stronger to awaken their hearts. If you are thinking there is no present day role for prophets in this 3rd great awakening...think again.
Mockers...well now mockers, they need something like a goad to break through their self righteous arrogance. So you have the extreme witness like Stephen.
That's what it took to awaken Saul who turned to Paul. What do you think the goads were, which Paul was kicking against? (Acts 9)
When telling the good news, we need to discern which audience we are speaking to. 🔊 Have you sought after discernment?? Have you waited in the Upper Room??
Seekers, mockers and perpetrators-all are due to hear His mercy & good news. They were all given access through the blood of the Lamb. They were all paid for.
Each will hear in a different fashion. There is no "one size fits all" Gospel. There is no "formula" way to tell the Good News. ALL good news flows spontaneously through Holy Spirit.
So the seekers hearts were opened by words of joy, the perpetrators hearts were opened by the words of the prophets but the mockers hearts were opened by a sowing instrument.
A goad is a sharpened piece of a plowshare.
Stephen was plowing the ground to soften it for the seed. A goad opened Paul's heart. Different witnesses are equipped differently.
This equipping only occurs in the secret place of worship & reverential service.
ALL witnesses MUST WAIT IN THE UPPER ROOM for the empowering of The Holy Spirit. Each witness has a different assignment.
Remember Jesus told the disciples to follow the man with the pitcher. It was a secret place of The Most High as in Psalm 91.
Clearly Yeshua is the Lord of the Harvest and He employs different instruments for different seasons & different crops. See Isaiah 28: 23-29.
Follow the man with the pitcher. Follow your thirst- for Living Water. Follow the Holy Spirit to the secret place.
Your call is unique, you don't need to fit into their shoes. One mistake we all make is to compare ourselves to others.
