Scarlet Ribbon

"Your lips are like a scarlet ribbon; your mouth is lovely."

Song of Songs 4:3

When Jesus performed His first recorded miracle and turned the water into wine, it was in response to an exchange, an interchange of words. There was a back and forth and an outcome.

He was responding to his Mother's words & the servants responded to His Word. It was relational and personal and one on one. It was conversational and it was prophetic and instructional for us...as 'Word of Faith' people.

When reading His Word...do we converse with Him?  Do we talk with Him? Do we interact  with His Word and receive His sweet communion-

Communion wine to share with others?

Following this private exchange with His Mom and then, the wedding servants...

there was a continued, expansive outcome benefitting all the wedding guests. There was joy & celebration and an awakening touch similar to and indicative of Acts 2. ✨️

When the guests drank this supernatural wine 🍷 their lips turned scarlet. Their lips were stained in His way of grace.

The guests were immediately aware of the presence of heaven. They were touched and awakened by The Divine.

His mother said to the servants, "Do whatever He tells you." John 2:5

There are three examples of developing our 'Word of Faith' walk in this story. This prophetic Word of Mary....(do what He says) who had, from the beginning, responded to an angelic messenger..."Be it unto me according to your word".

Luke 1:38

There was an activation of faith which sparkled like New Wine! It touched each individual's lips...a kiss is a personal, intimate experience. This is, also, how we receive the 'word of faith' and how we release life with our testimony.

"They overcame by the blood of the Lamb & the word of their testimony".

This is also why Paul said, in his final farewell...

"I leave you with His Word of grace". He left them with the crimson, sparkling kiss of heaven.

At First- When we read the written Word it's like drinking Living Water. It's refreshing, awakening & cleansing to our souls.

Do we stop there? No, He has so much more in store.

Second- We receive a moving, powerful  motivation to "do what He tells you." We become responsive to His voice.

"You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you."

John 15:3 (Ephesians 5:26)

"Daughters of Jerusalem, I charge you, do not arouse or awaken love until it so desires"

Song of Songs 8:4 (2:7, 3:5)

When we have an encounter with Jesus Himself, as we read The Bible...It is like a kiss upon our lips. Love awakens.

There is an awakening of truth & love because we have encountered the Spirit of the Living God. Yet, it is up to us to pursue, as the bride did, in the passion play recorded in Song of Songs.

"Let Him kiss me with the kisses of His mouth for your love is more delightful than wine."

Song of Songs 1:2

By this second encounter, we are invited into more... His life begins to infuse our heart & soul.

We are invited to respond in like kind; to dialogue with this messenger of love within the scripture. We engage with an ever increasing whole heart & free will.

Third- By speaking His Word outloud we are speaking the Royal Love Language of heaven. We are returning His invitation. We are initiating a relational & mutual exchange. We enter into an "engagement" with our lovestruck Prince.

"My dove in the clefts of the rock (The Word), in the hiding places of the mountainside (The Ascent of Worship), show me your face, let me hear your voice; for your voice is sweet, and your face is lovely"

Song of Songs 2:14

We drink of His written Word and our thirst is quenched. We are refreshed. Our spirit man is awakened to desire more of Him. We begin to develop doves eyes...a single minded focus on Him.

Next...we seek to encounter Jesus The Living manifestation of The  Word...

as we meditate and take time in the written Word...

Something miraculous and intoxicating happens...

this Living Water turns to supernatural wine...

Like a kiss from heaven...

our lips are marked with His scarlet forgiveness & lovingkindness. Our face begins to sparkle & reflect the beauty of His countenance. The words of our lips become sweet to Him and to other seekers.

The most exquisite and extravagant aspect of this Communion Elixar, this Communion Cordial...The Kiss of His Word...

Is that it connects us to all of the potential, all the resources of heaven & His glory.

We speak His Word outloud by His  Spirit and our scarlet lips bring "medicine" and awakening to all who hear.

Proverbs 4:20-22

This is the manifestation of The Wedding Feast...the exchange of Word from Mother to Son, from Willing Servants to the  Congregation...with an abundance of effervescent wine.

"One who loves a pure heart and who speaks with grace will have the king for a friend."

Proverbs 22:11

Whether we are alone or with a friend or in the midst of a congregation...

Our scarlet lips bring The Kingdom of Heaven...and the Kings friendship...

and the sweetness of our words bring intimate, experiential encounters with His presence and His glory.

The Wine flows in abundance...Encounters for All in attendance.

We give drink to all. Fresh Living Water. New Wine.

Yet, it is 'Activated Faith' within the exchange, within the interaction, within the conversation, which causes the water 💧 to turn to wine 🍷.

It is a kiss from heaven, a seal of The Divine. It is a divine touch & a one on one holy pure connection. Our lips begin to be stained with His Scarlet goodness so that only life and sweetness flows from within our beings.

"For the Word of God is alive and active."

Hebrews 4:12

"Kiss the Son" Psalm 2

First we kiss The Son of God in our time spent meditating in The Word. We begin to welcome His nearness.

"Greet one another with a holy kiss" 1 Peter 5:14

Then we speak our first- hand testimony to others. We share our personal and real encounter with Him, with others.

"Your lips are like a scarlet ribbon,  your mouth is lovely"

In the midst of our confessions of faith and lifestyle of worship, we can begin to hear His loving voice inside our own words. We receive an exchange of gratitide directly from Him. He fills our words.

How wonderful to hear these words from our Prince of Peace, our  Redeemer....

"Your lips are lovely".

Encountering Him should be our greatest desire and our foremost priority.

"Let Him kiss me with the kisses of His mouth".

Your lips are as lovely as Rahab's scarlet ribbon, speaking mercy, speaking grace.
