The Way of Water

Husband's, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church & gave himself up for her to make her holy,

cleansing her by the washing with the water through the word,

And to present her to himself as a radiant church... ✨️

Ephesians 5:25-27

What does this mean...washing with the water of The Word?

What was Christ speaking of when He declared 📜 in John 7:37, 38...that those who believe will have streams of Living Water flowing from within?

Scripture says He was speaking of Holy Spirit.

By this He meant the Spirit, whom those who believed in Him were later to receive. (39)

Yet in John 15, as Jesus admonishes the disciples to abide in Him like branches in a vine...He adds-

You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. (15:3)

Water for washing and for filling is enterchangeably applied to Christ's Word and the Holy Spirit. Both.

There is so much more to the WAY OF WATER within scripture's profound and deep deep teaching.

There is so much depth & height and volume. In fact, like water in the natural, there is a never ending supply of cleansing, healing, understanding and revelation...within The Waters. His Waters of Word and Holy Spirit.

Some denominations put all their emphasis on God's Word and some put all their attention on Holy Spirit. Neither is a full understanding nor a healthy, sturdy approach.

Some put all their Emphasis on Father God or "Jehovah"...but neglect the divine design of our Creator-God. The Living Water divine design.

Living Water is a divine design and plan of Father God, Himself, who introduces Christ and Holy Spirit from Genesis to Revelation of The Book, The Holy Bible.

To ignore The Way of Water is not sound teaching or interpretation.

Can you seperate Father, Son and Holy Spirit? Never! They are eternally One. They are wholly and purely One.

They are like The Way of Water...H20. Three in One.

Yet, they each have unique and distinct ministries and ordained roles within that perfect wholeness and unity. The roles are perfected and completed in the giving of Life...The Creation of Life.

There is a well thought out reason and purpose, for which Jesus, chose to speak of the 'way of water' in John 4...

But whoever drinks this water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.

John 4:14

The 'way of water' is 3 in one. The way of water is eternal and continuously moving. The way of water is refreshing and life giving.

In the heavenly water we see the form of Father (Eternity), Son (Word) and Holy Spirit (Life Giving).

This Wellspring is primed and drawn forth by love, by worship.

Remember in John 4...Jesus declares 📜...

"The Father is seeking those who worship".

As we return to our opening scripture...

Christ so loved the Church as a husband loves his bride...

Our worship is an expression of the brides responsive and reciprocal love.

Again worship is love. Our worship draws out the streams of Living Water. The Living Waters flow from Father, Son and Holy Spirit- three in One.

Even in the natural realm- water is forever. It changes form from mist to cloud to rain to river in a continuos flow. Yet it never ever loses its integrity as an element.

All other elements on earth degrade but water stays true to its original identity and integrity.

So is The Way of Water within scripture and so is the way of salvation. And so is the way of Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Cloud is symbolic of (and a manifestation of) God's presence.

Rain represents God's words and blessings.

Mist represents our prayers.

Wellspring represents our worship.

Rivers represents the flow from God's Throne and Sanctuary.

River expresses God's intentions, thoughts, character, wisdom, healing, cleansing, justice and love.

The illustration in scripture of THE WAY OF WATER...

is a conclusive, comprehensive and consistant picture throughout the entire text of the Bible.

You cannot seperate the ministry of Father, Son and Holy Spirit any more than you can seperate the outcome and purpose of H20 in the natural.

Water has been cycling through the earth by cloud, rain, river, mist since the beginning of time. Since the Genesis account.

In our opening scripture...

'Husband' refers to Christ.

I believe husband also refers to those keepers of the vineyards. 'Husbandmen' refers to pastors, deacons, bishops, elders.

Pastors must minister in The Way of the Waters- according to scripture.

In Song of Songs we are encouraged, even admonished to "drink deeply".

I have come into my garden, my sister, my bride; I have gathered my myrrh with my spice.

I have eaten my honeycomb and my honey; I have drunk my wine and my milk.

Eat, friends, and drink; drink your fill of love.

Song of Songs 5:1

How can we minister to others if we have not experienced The Way of the Waters?

How can we minister if we have not been filled with His love?

How can we minister if we have not been filled and cleansed with His Living Waters?

How can we offer thirst quenching waters if we ourselves have not sated our thirst...

and been soaked within...

with His life giving glorious Way of the Waters?

I thirst for you Lord, as the deer pants for water.

Psalm 42
