Sound of Many Waters- 3

Sound of Many Waters-

Part 3- Behold, New

New Song- Line of 7

Ecclesiastes 1:2 says, "There is nothing new under the sun."

Yet, we are commissioned throughout scripture to,

"Sing a new Song!"

and Mark 16:17 says,

"And these signs will follow those who believe in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues."

Jesus own Words commission us to sing & speak into the NEW.

So, the description in Ecclesiastes "under the sun" refers to the time realm.

Under this realm of seed time & harvest we are limited to a cycle of repetition. "History repeats itself"...many say.

However, under Christ we are commissioned to bring the NEW and to sing & declare the new.

New is sourced within His voice... from the eternal realm, through The Sound of Many Waters.

Heaven's timeless realm is the source of this sound and the source of all NEW.

Jesus declared from His timeless realm, "Behold, I make all things new!"

In the Psalms...we have 7 scriptures on this new sound. We must introduce these, first, because Jesus fulfilled Psalms and is The Song of Songs.

Then we can go on to the amazing, numerous scriptures revealing...

-the way of- The NEW.

1. Psalm 33:3

"Sing to Him a new song; play skillfully with a shout of joy."

2. 40:3

"He has put a new song in my mouth-praise to our God; many will see it and fear, and will trust in the Lord."

3. 81:3

"Blow the trumpet at the time of the New moon, at the full moon, on our feast day." (Trumpet is a sound or song from our mouth)

4. 96:1

"Sing unto the Lord a new song! Sing to the Lord all the earth."

5. 98:1

"Oh sing to the Lord a new song! For He has done marvelous things; His right hand & His holy arm have gained Him the victory."

6. 144:9,10

"I will sing a new song to you O God; on a harp of ten strings, I will sing praises to you, the One who gives salvation to kings, who delivers David His servant from the deadly sword." (10 is Oath)

7. 149:1

"Praise the Lord! Sing to the Lord a new song, and His praise in the assembly of the saints!"

In the Book of Acts when the disciples began to speak with 'new tongues' ...what did they say?

First of all, they were "filled with the Spirit"...

& only spoke as,

" The Spirit gave them utterance." Acts 2:4

Secondly, the people responded,

"We hear them speak in our own tongues the wonderful works of God." Acts 2:10b

They spoke... THE WONDERFUL WORKS OF GOD...

by fresh unction of Holy Spirit.

Thirdly, Peter stands up to explain the ancient foundation for the new  wind, fire & tongues.

Here you have the combination of ancient & new. Eternal & fresh.

"His compassions fail not, His mercies are New every morning!"

Lamentations 3:22,23

Thereafter, all the people-

-ALL - were empowered to speak boldly.

That which is new is not intimidated by the past or history. That which is new is tied to the prophetic as Peter mentions in Joel 2...

NEW... IS INITIATED & INFUSED BY HOLY SPIRIT.

When these people, both men & women, spoke of The Wonderful Works of God...

they were so joy filled... they disregarded the restraints of culture, oppression, control & religion...

It was so unique, so fresh, the observers thought they were drunk!

Their outlook & perception was fresh & new. Their expression was fresh & new. Their behavior & countenance was fresh & new.

Paul tells us in 2 Corinthians 5:17,

"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; Behold all things have become new."

In Acts 2...the men & women who had been waiting in the Upper Room & singing in the Temple....

became infused with NEW. By Holy wind, fire & 'new tongues'.

"Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert."  20

"To give drink to My people, My chosen. This people I have formed for Myself, they shall declare My praise." 21

Behold, New.

In Mark 1:21-27, Jesus demonstrates the way of the New, when He casts a demon out in their midst, in their tabernacle. The people observing say,

"What is this? What new doctrine is this? For with authority He commands even the unclean spirits."

Those who preach Gods word with signs, miracles & wonders following; are the ones who are truly moving in the New!

These ministers of the NOW & NEW are flowing with streams of Living Water. They hear the voice of Jesus and follow His fresh new path along the "sound of many waters."

The streams are fresh & new though the water is also ancient. Only God can do this. We can too when connected to His source waters.

Water in the natural gives us life, in fact after 3 days it becomes life threatening to be deprived of water. If natural water is that potent, that powerful...

Can you imagine the potency of heavenly water?

Scripture is telling us that NEW is contained & distributed within these Life giving waters.

It is our choice, our free will, alone, which determines how often we drink...

and give to others.

In fact we can do more than drink and share...

we can splash & play...

we can dive into and soak in these waters.

We can bring restoration to our cities and neighborhoods!

The waters flow from worship.

New, fresh, novel, original, first time, recent, just out, unique, cutting edge, now, dewy, untouched, state of the art, new.

As the people observed Jesus in action, moving in authority, it opened their hearts and eyes to something new.

Our eyes are opened in this way. We are not giving up the beauty & wonder of God's Word...we are simply seeing it come alive...

just as you would see a frozen river thaw & begin to flow again...

and all the subsequent life in and along the banks...

to spring forth.

The cycle is ancient but every spring...new.

Consistently, constantly new & yet ancient...

Song of Songs describes this phenomena...

"The mandrakes give off a fragrance, and at our gates are pleasant fruits, all manner, new and old, which I have laid up for you my beloved."

Song of Songs 7:13

Gates? River Gates?

It is like the River of Life in Revelation 22 & Ezekiel 42 where fruit trees grow on the banks!

Where everything lives wherever the river goes!

Where the leaves are for healing the nations!

Yes, its new like that!

So, how do we define New? How do we function in the new?

The Greek for new is Kainos & Neos: new, recently made, not had before, fresh, young.

Jesus said this in Matthew 13:52,

"Therefore every scribe instructed concerning the kingdom of heaven is like a householder who brings out of his treasure things new & old."

We are scribes, we who sing and declare the life giving (prophetic) words of Jesus. We speak in new tongues, in new songs & we release fresh revelation by the "sound of many waters."

"Clearly, you are an epistle of Christ, ministered by us, written not with ink but by the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of flesh, that is, of the heart." 2 Corinthians 3:3

So, we need to take responsibility to discern both the fresh and new..  and...

the treasures of the ancient.

I think, once we have experienced the freshness of Living Water...

we just know...

but we continually grow in this knowing.

"And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathens do." Matthew 6:7

Following this instruction, Jesus taught them 'The Lords Prayer' .

So we mix the pure sincerety & devotion of our hearts with Holy Spirit infusion of ancient & New.

Sitting out on my porch I can hear Meadow Larks in the field about a block away. I can hear sparrows in the bushes next door and doves cooing on the roof.

Unfortunately I can also hear traffic from a few blocks away. The bird's sound is refreshing because it is coming through a living entity. The traffic is not a refreshing sound...it carries no life...

Just stale abrasive noise to my ears. (Just an example)

I believe the new sound should be heard in teaching & preaching as well as our songs...our prayers...and our prophetic declarations.

We are scribes writing a new identity upon people's hearts. We want them to know...to experience new like the people in Mark 1.

If we consider Manna as part of the water cycle of justice ⚖️ (as we taught in Part 2) we understand there is a built in restriction of obedience (I prefer to call it inspiration & cooperation) with this fulfilling gift from heaven.

It fell as the dew, fresh & new. Jesus identified Himself as The Bread from heaven. I prefer in my writings to focus on pleasant, good news...

However, without trying to be crude or rude, many church leaders have been feeding their flocks on maggots. (Exodus 16:20, this also agrees with a prophetic dream from Wanda Alger about the "church" leaders)

The result of using left over manna. The outcome of not gathering fresh, daily word (dialogue) directly from Jesus...the bread of life.

The Good News is that all corrective, harsh, just  judgments, which are surely coming to the church first and 2nd to our our land...

these set judgments are for -one-appointed time...

but mercy & grace flow on & on like a refreshing river of life! Grace falls like dew every morning!

We want all to experience the hope of a new life.

The LORD will have the last word...a fresh word..

or should I say- the Lord will have the last SONG!

A new song!

"I am the LORD, that is my name; and my glory I will not give to another, nor my praise to carved images.

Behold, the former things have come to pass, and NEW things I declare; before they spring forth I tell you of them.

SING TO THE LORD A NEW SONG, and His praise from the ends of the earth.

You who go down to the sea, and all that is in it, you coastlands and you inhabitants of them!

Let the wilderness and its cities lift up their voice, the villages that Kedar inhabits.

Let the inhabitants of Sela sing, let them shout from the tops of the mountains.

Let them give glory to the Lord, and declare His praise in the coastlands.

The LORD shall go forth like a mighty man; He shall stir up His zeal like a man of war.

He shall cry out, yes, shout aloud; He shall prevail against His enemies."

Isaiah 42: 9-13

He has promised a new heaven and earth. He has promised each of us a new name and new identity.

He has provided all we need, to partner with Him, in bringing forth the new. It's as pure & simple as a new song, a new tongue and the "sound of many waters!"

Next, in Part 4, we will cover...

7 Voices- 7 Thunders.

 Declare a thing!
